I have twenty years’ experience in business; both in execution and support.
Before becoming a leadership coach I set up the highly successful boutique chain of London restaurants Salt Yard Group in 2005. My co-founder and I bootstrapped the first few years working 24/7 to develop the company. We went from a close knit family team of 30 to a private equity backed company of 180. In 2014 I part-exited and became a non-exec director. In 2017 I bought the company back when its fortunes were flagging, turned it around and sold it a year later.
Alongside Salt Yard Group I set up LeCoq restaurant with my sister in 2013. We chose to fold the company in 2016; gaining insight into how to fail proudly and gracefully.
I am an active angel investor and mentor of start-up companies.
I have delivered talks and panels on entrepreneurship and angel investing and appeared as a “dragon” on BBC2’s Million Pound Menu.
Coaching & Facilitation
I am an advanced certified coach trained by Mindful Talent and accredited by the Association for Coaching. My training drew on neuroscience, mindfulness and creating transformational change.
I am also an accredited Thinking Environment Facilitator. I aim to embody the work of Nancy Kline and her Thinking Environment philosophy in all the coaching and facilitation work that I do.
I regularly attend seminars, events and further training to keep myself learning and engaged. I hold a certificate in Team Coaching from the Team Coaching Studio. I actively follow the work of the Conscious Leadership Group, Growth Edge Coaching and the Strozzi Institute.
